A Russian Soyuz TMA-21 space capsule descends about 150 km (80 miles) south-east of the town of Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan,16 September 2011. The Soyuz capsule, which carried U.S. Astronaut Ron Garan and two Russian cosmonauts Andrey Borisenko and Alexander Samokutyaev safely returned to Earth on 16 September after a half-year stint on the international space station, with a landing on the Kazakh steppe.
